About Study Program

The ITB Marine Engineering Study Program is a study program that focuses on engineering sciences related to coastal and offshore structures and infrastructure. This study program provides international classes with English as the main language of teaching. Through knowledge that includes basic knowledge of science and mathematics, basic engineering knowledge, professionalism, application, design, and marine engineering, Marine Engineering graduates are expected to be able to compete at national, regional and international levels.

Graduate Learning Outcomes

Possessing good basic sciences (mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and geology) as a foundation to apply them to understand principal oceanographic processes and to comply with the development of science and technology.

Comprehensively engage with basic phenomena in oceanography, especially in -- yet not limited to -- the scale area of Indonesian seas.

Having the ability to apply general oceanography knowledge to provide good and sustainable solutions in the maritime field.

Having the ability to design and conduct oceanographic observations and related ocean environmental surveys with the support of good equipment mastery.

Having the ability to process, analyze, and interpret ocean observation data.

Having a strong ability to utilize or modify mathematical models for the reconstruction and prediction of marine phenomena.

Capable of conducting basic laboratory analysis to measure, test, and identify oceanography parameters.

Having a variety of intra- and inter-personal skills, such as, but not limited to: being able to work independently or collaboratively in a team; displaying competence in oral and written skills; demonstrating critical and innovative thinking.
