Graduate Learning Outcomes (GLO) carried by the course

CPMK CodeCourse Learning Outcomes Elements (CLO)
CPMK 1Understand the concepts, fundamental principles and methods of generative design in the architectural design process.
CPMK 2Understand the concepts, fundamental principles and methods of optimisation in the architectural design process.
CPMK 3Able to use generative and optimisation methods in realising creative spaces and forms in the architectural design process.

Learning Method

  • Learning in a computer room or space that allows students to use a Laptop, which includes face-to-face lectures and programming practicum tutorials, discussions working on simple program exercises and making individual assignments. Structured assignments to be able to demonstrate understanding and generative and optimisation skills in the creation of geometric compositions. Independent activities in the form of online learning from several sources to develop abstraction skills and generative programming and optimisation methods, recognising problems that can be abstracted as generative problems and computational optimisation.

Learning Modality

  • Offline / face-to-face with a combination of synchronous and asynchronous online using Zoom and Edunex media. Discussion of cases or generative and optimisation problems in class

Assessment Methods

  • Assessment is based on student performance in class as well as assignments with the following distribution Activeness in class 10% Task 1: Generative 45% Task 2: Optimisation 45%
